Lundyn Parker #2 22/2

.The airship was huge in the overall scheme of things. Not as big as the biggest of the once commercially flown craft but almost two thirds that size. As it was a research vessel rather than a passenger vessel that needed state rooms and dining rooms for one hundred and eighty guests and crew quarters for fifty hotel and flying staff, it was sumptuous by any standard. Lundyn was dressed in a terry towelling bathrobe and seated on a command style seat next to Ann. He looked over at her. She had been a wicked bitch in bed the last time they had met. For Lundyn the encounter was like it had been yesterday. Today she was all business, rescuing him from the seas and now joining him in the hunt for his prey. Unfortunately for Ramid, that was what he had become. Once Lundyn was on the scent there could be only one result. Lundyn moved off his stool to the galley and poured two coffees from the small machine. He sugared his and remembered that Ann only took cream. He fished a couple of chocolate rum balls onto the saucers and brought them over to where Ann was concentrating on her screens.
“Well what have we got here Annie? Any luck at all?”
“Not yet Lundyn, but we are eliminating a lot of the traffic at least. Everything moving South we can probably discard out of hand and everything moving in the other three quadrants is suspicious unless it is too small, too big or slow.” Ann made some adjustments to her video screen. “We can watch fish fucking with the clarity of the zoom on this thing so if he is in our area we will have him.”
Lundyn smiled to himself as he thought how quickly Ann had become a true huntress. He doubted she knew just how dangerous this was and he had a niggling feeling in the back of his neck that said he should tell her but his blood was up. Nothing was going to deter him now.
“I need to send a message or two, is that ok?”
“Sure help yourself, do you know how this gear works?”
Lundyn nodded and moved straight to the key pad to encode a message to send to Des Rawlings at ANSWERS. Des’s network had found Ramid once before, perhaps they could be of help again.
