Lundyn Parker's greatest adventures - by JonD

Lundyn Parker and his best mate Roscoe Tanner are a couple of Aussie knock about types. During their incredible adventures they will, fight, root, eat and save society and the even the world from horrors unimiaginable. Loveable rogues but as tough as the land that bred them.

Lundyn Parker 2 #8/2

Many bushwalkers had been airlifted to safety, some people had been known to die in more remote areas but so far loss of life was minimal.
Houses, sheds, schools, farms and crops were being burnt out however and it was estimated that almost five percent of the bushland in effected states was under fire or in peril. Pictures of burning wildlife was being shown nightly along with footage of whales and dolphins doing their violent, macabre dance of death, orchestrated by Faz-al. This was still a mystery, what was the cause? Many animal behavioural scientists and boffins were interviewed and though many guessed none could guarantee the cause. How though, were the images of the distress of the animals being beamed to the world media, and at minutes before prime time news?

Ramid ben-Ahim and his cohorts had slipped across the border into Papua New Guinea and from there in large, fast, open boats had arrived in Thursday Island. Boarding a domestic flight to the Australian mainland they flew first to Cairns, the unofficial capital of north Queensland. There they met a fellow active terrorist who had purchased a fast game goat and was now ready to ferry Ramid and his men to the site of the Ocean King. He had been busy collecting weapons as well and now Ramid checked each weapon personally before handing it on to the man that favoured each style. There were fighting knives from cutlers in Sweden, the Kalishnikovs of course as well as some slightly out dated but still lethal ex SAS sniper rifles that could blow a man’s head to smithereens at over one kilometre. Plastic and primers, grenades both smoke and stun, though Ramid didn’t think stun grenades of much use in their business. There were also gas masks, body armour and a variety of radios, video recorders and laptop computers with wireless Internet. Offshore they were to rendezvous with another vessel to pick up a variety of missiles that were to be fired from hand held launchers.

His man had done well. Just as expected, this operation had been many years in the planning and little was left to chance. Even if it failed miserably, over twenty percent of the objectives would be realised anyway. The main result would be terror! Terrorise the people. Let them see they are not safe in their little beds in their little suburban homes. Let them see that as well as human suffering we can make the animal kingdom suffer as well. The world news was picking up the stories from Faz-al almost with glee! Now it was his turn to start to turn the thumb screws. He would be driving the boat up and down the inside of the reef, looking like a charter fishing boat. Meanwhile he had all the communications to link him immediately to the world at his finger tips.
